Volunteer Opportunities
At A Memory Grows, volunteers become a source of hope and comfort for families walking through the heartbreak of losing a child. Whether helping at special events or supporting daily efforts behind the scenes, every act of service carries deep meaning. Together, we create a compassionate community where healing begins and love is never forgotten.

- When: August 23rd, 2025 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Location: Wesley Hall, FUMC Fort Worth, 800 W 5th Street Fort Worth, TX 76102
- Notes: Volunteers can choose to volunteer for the whole event or for the morning or afternoon portion.
- When: September 13th, 2025 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
- Location: Sundance Square, Fort Worth
- Notes: Roles include transporting, setting up, and taking down a large wooden structure (truck and drill required), and sharing about A Memory Grows with guests who stop by our table.
- When: September 13th, 2025 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
- Location: The Grandscape Lawn in The Colony
- Notes: Volunteers will share about A Memory Grows with guests who stop by our table and help facilitate a simple game or activity.

- Location: 700 W 5th Street, Fort Worth; Cowtown Casa in southwest Fort Worth
- Notes: SUV, truck, or large trunk space needed
- When: Various dates (October 15; December 2; Legacy 5K in late March; A Mother’s Heart in late April)
- Location: Various locations in Fort Worth and Weatherford (12/2)
- Notes: Transport supplies from 700 W 5th St, Fort Worth to event locations. You do not need to be available for all events. SUV, truck, or vehicle with large trunk needed.

- Notes: Quilts are made for families attending retreats as a keepsake item in honor of the child or children.

- Notes: Various roles available. We will reach out a few months ahead of the race with specific roles that you can sign up for.

- Location: Anywhere
- Notes: Contact businesses in the DFW area to see if they are interested in making in-kind donations or monetary sponsorships for the Legacy 5K or other events.
- When: October 15th, 6:00 – 8:30
- Location: Trinity Park, Fort Worth
- Notes: Roles include helping with setup, passing out candles, and packing up after the event. We will reach out a few weeks ahead of time with specific roles that you can sign up for.
- When: December 2, 2025
- Location: Weatherford, TX
- Notes: Various roles available. We will reach out a few weeks ahead of the event with specific roles that you can sign up for.
- When: Ongoing
- Location: DFW Metroplex
- Notes: Drop off brochures and information to funeral homes, hospitals, other organizations, etc.
- Attend community events and share information about A Memory Grows at a table or booth.
- When: Ongoing, likely 2-3 times per year
